Katie Blevins received her Ph.D. from the Pennsylvania State University. Prior to arriving at the University of Idaho she spent four years as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Communications at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. Her teaching focuses on media law, issues of gender and representation, new technology, and global media. Her research looks at government transparency, the regulation of new technology, and social media activism through the lens of representation.
