Journalism B.A. & B.S.

News and information are the foundation of healthy democratic societies. The journalism major provides students with the professional skills and tools to explore and explain events shaping the globe. The school prepares students for the changes that challenge American media today. Journalism is a gateway degree to jobs in the media professions, government, law, business and nonprofit organizations. Students will benefit from an experienced professional faculty, personalized learning, and hands-on media experiences.

Required course work includes the university requirements, the School of JAMM core JAMM 225 Reporting I (3 cr) and JAMM 322 Broadcast News (3 cr) or JAMM 327 Reporting II (3 cr), plus 9 credits from the following list:
