Learn to Lead

Leadership skills are essential for today’s managers. Organizational settings, including for-profit businesses, political/governmental organizations, not-for-profit organizations and public and private boards, are dynamic entities that rely on skilled leaders to function efficiently and to ensure positive workplace cultures and climates. Many organizational problems and opportunities are decided by the ability of members to engage in successful human relations with others inside the organization (co-workers, supervisors/supervisees) as well as those outside (customers, vendors and suppliers, constituents and other organizations).

The Organizational Sciences degree program allows you to select courses from different disciplines that investigate and examine organizations and the communities they serve from a variety of disciplinary perspectives (e.g., business, psychology, communication, human resource management, political science, sociology, etc.). The range and flexibility of course choices encourages you to tailor your program to suit your long-term goals. If you so choose, the flexibility also facilitates the addition of a useful minor, second major, or emphasis to your overall degree program.
