Daniella McCahey is a lecturer in the History Department who primarily teaches history of science courses. Her research focuses on the relationship between science and the environment in polar regions and she is currently revising a book manuscript on British and New Zealand science in Antarctica during the International Geophysical Year. She also writes about whaling, gender, volcanoes and the British monarchy. She is very interested in public history and has consulted for museums around the world on various aspects of polar history.
