The University of Idaho has partnered with (ISC)², the largest not-for-profit membership body of certified information and software security professionals worldwide, to offer the official (ISC)² Common Body of Knowledge (CBK) training course and to administer the CISSP certification exam.
As an (ISC)² Global Academic Program Member, the University of Idaho provides professionals an opportunity to gain the most sought-after certifications in today's information security industry.
You will receive the (ISC)² CBK (Common Body of Knowledge) as part of your training materials, which is the accepted standard in the industry. You will also be eligible to purchase a Student Discounted Certification Exam Voucher that can be used for the Pearson Vue testing site conveniently located nearby.

Certified Information Systems Security Professional CISSP®
This certificate recognizes information security leaders with the knowledge and experience to design, develop and manage the overall security posture of an organization. Training seminars are available at the University of Idaho Research Park in Post Falls, Idaho, and other locations throughout the state of Idaho.
The (ISC)² CISSP certification is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) to be in compliance with the International Organization for Standardization and International Electrotechnical Commission (ISO/IEC) 17024 Standards.

With financial support from the Idaho Department of Labor, the University of Idaho is forming a cybersecurity professional development and technical education training program consisting of three main features:
Cybersecurity certification exam preparation boot camp/classroom seminars and exam administration (initially for the Certified Information System Security Professional certification, CISSP)
Structured On the Job Training and possible apprenticeships
A Security Operations Center laboratory with a variety of training sessions (multiple one-week modules) leading to vendor-specific certifications focusing on computer networking security, such as the Cisco Certified Network Professional Security, CCNP Security
