IVIS Imaging Service Center

The IVIS Imaging Service Center provides access to fluorescence and luminescence imaging technology through supervised use of the IVIS Lumina III. The Lumina III can be used for imaging of living prokaryotes (e.g., bacterial plates, films), invertebrates (e.g., nematodes, insects), fungi, plants and vertebrates (e.g., fish, mammals, birds) and ex vivo tissue specimens. Some examples from the published literature are provided below.

Have a question or want to schedule a training to use the Lumina III?

If you are interested in using the IVIS Imaging Service Center, you will need to complete the online training and schedule in-person training. Once training is completed, we can schedule your approved experimental protocol that is consistent with Lumina III capabilities and image analysis. To inquire about training and using the Lumina III, please contact Shirley Luckhart, Center for Health in the Human Ecosystem, and Jaclyn Huffman, U of I Lab Animal Research Facility.

How can I use the IVIS?
