I teach classes and conduct research related to leadership and communications. I oversee the agricultural science, communication and leadership major and the agricultural communications and leadership minor.

Sarah Bush is an assistant professor of leadership and communications in the Department of Agricultural and Extension Education. She currently serves as a leadership team member for the Teen Leadership in Excellence Institute. Her research interests include community viability, youth leadership development, citizenship, cognitive and personality styles, and international workforce development. Prior to returning to school to pursue her doctorate, she worked as a residence life coordinator at Penn State Behrend.
She received her doctorate from Virginia Tech in agricultural, leadership and community education, Masters of Science degree from the University of Florida in agricultural education and communication, and Bachelors of Science from Penn State University in agricultural science with a focus in leadership development. Sarah is certified in Kirton’s Adaption-Innovation, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Critical Incident Stress Management Group Crisis Intervention and Cultural Intelligence. In addition, she spends her summers working as a group leader at Iroquois Springs Camp.
