A variety of horticulture research projects are conducted at the Aberdeen Research and Extension Center, including:

• Applied research on use of native plants in low-water landscapes
• Accessions of native wildflowers, shrubs and trees for adaptation to southern Idaho
• Evaluations of vegetable varieties
