New Member ID Cards coming from Blue Cross of Idaho

As part of Blue Cross of Idaho’s (BCI) ongoing work to provide the best service to U of I employees and covered dependents, they have recently updated some of their internal systems. As a result, they are assigning new member ID numbers and cards to employees on a university medical plan. BCI will begin mailing the new ID cards in mid-May, and most employees should receive them by June 1, 2024.

The new member ID cards should be used after June 1. Please destroy your old ID cards once you receive the new ones. Any claims filed by healthcare providers with your old member ID number will still be processed during the transition.
