Moms' Weekend 2015 - April 17-18

The University of Idaho welcomes all Vandal moms and parents to Moms' Weekend 2015 April 17-18.

The following schedule is subject to change. Check back often for updates. Online Registration for Moms’ Weekend 2015 is now closed. Limited tickets may be available at the door of events. Please show up a few minutes early with cash or check payment for tickets. Seating is not guaranteed.


Friday, April 17

  • 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. Mini-Golf with Mom
    Where: Airway Hills Miniature Golf Range, 4811 Airport Rd. (1.5 miles down Airport Rd. off the Moscow/Pullman Highway)

    Purchase your official University of Idaho Ring at this special sale. Juniors who order this weekend will receive their rings at the official Ring Ceremony in the fall.

    During the ceremony, students are honored for their commitment to the university. Students wear their class ring during their final semesters and thereafter as a symbol of their dedication in achieving a great life milestone.

  • 5-6 p.m. - Amazing Race Traditions Challenge
    Where: Meet at the VandalStore, 710 Deakin Ave.

    Teams of two will compete against others across campus to learn about University of Idaho traditions and landmarks.

    About Tradition Keepers

    To cultivate a memorable college experience and increase alumni engagement, the Tradition Keepers book was created, outlining the history of our alma mater and background on more than 50 traditions past and present.

    After completing 15 traditions, Vandals receive the silver Tradition Keeper lapel pin. Thirty-five tradition points earn participants a medallion to wear at graduation or keep as a memento of their commitment to Idaho's history.

    The Women of Alpha Gamma Delta present Mr. Idaho, a Male Beauty Pageant

    All proceeds will go to Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation for diabetes research and women's leadership!
  • 6-8:30 p.m. - CALS Moms' Weekend Gala Wine and Cheese Tasting
    Where: Pitman Center International Ballroom | Map

    Enjoy entertainment by the UI Ballroom Dance Team while sampling local cheeses, wine parings and Vandal Brand meats! Event includes a silent auction and several door prize giveaways. A variety of beverages will be available for patrons of all ages.

    The 6th Annual Wine and Cheese Tasting is hosted by the UI Dairy Club and College of Agricultural and Life Sciences Ambassadors and is open to the public.

    Join us for a homemade Italian spaghetti dinner and dessert auction featuring live music performed by students from the Lionel Hampton School of Music. The event is a fundraiser sponsored by the Phi Alpha Theta honor society in support of history student scholarships.

    Associated Student University of Idaho Vandal Entertainment and the Student Alumni Relations Board proudly present Frangela, a hilarious comedy duo that will have you rolling in the aisles with laughter.

    Enjoy a dinner buffet followed by a comedy show from these two performers. Frances Callier and Angela V. Shelton are real life best friends who talk to each other all day long. They met at the world famous Second City Theatre, where they polished their talents as writers and comedy satirists.

    When: 7:00 pm Social Hour: Desserts served with beer and wine.

    Moscowrade is a wearable art fashion show put on by the Clothing, Textile, and Design students at the University of Idaho as a benefit to Alternatives to Violence of The Palouse. The designs can be submitted by both community members of the Palouse area and students.

    There will be 3 major categories this year:
    - Repurposed
    - Upcycled
    - General Sewing

    During intermission, entertainment will be by Skinny the Kid a local Moscow band.

    Tickets are available at Antiques By Russ (212 S. Main St) or on campus (see Moscowrade Facebook page for locations and times throughout the week).
