Relax into the heat, history, and hospitality of the Southern Mississippi on this week-long river boating experience. Spend your first night reveling in the wild and wonderful city of New Orleans before embarking on the luxurious and stately American Queen. Wander among the 300-year-old oak trees in the Oak Alley plantation and the 140-plus historically registered buildings in St. Francisville. A rich, multicultural heritage defines Mississippi’s former capital city of Natchez, one of the oldest European settlements in the area; while Vicksburg, the “Red Carpet City of the South,” offers up a unique combination of old and new. In Arkansas, explore the legendary Battle of Helena; or just sit back and take in an installment of King Biscuit Time, the nation’s longest-running blues radio program. Finally, you’ll wave farewell to the American Queen in Memphis, Home of the Blues and the Birthplace of Rock and Roll.
