Relax into the heat, history, and hospitality of the Southern Mississippi on this week-long riverboating experience. Spend your first night reveling in the wild and wonderful city of New Orleans before embarking on the luxurious and stately American Queen. Wander among the 300-year-old oak trees in the Oak Alley plantation and the 140-plus historically registered buildings in St. Francisville. A rich, multicultural heritage defines Mississippi’s former capital city of Natchez, one of the oldest European settlements in the area; while Vicksburg, the “Red Carpet City of the South,” offers up a unique combination of old and new. In Arkansas, explore the legendary Battle of Helena; or just sit back and take in an installment of King Biscuit Time, the nation’s longest-running blues radio program. Finally, you’ll wave farewell to the American Queen in Memphis, Home of the Blues and the Birthplace of Rock and Roll.
