Built in 1970, the Swim Center has two 25-yard pools, an eight lane 25 yard competitive pool and a four lane 25 yard warm-up/teaching pool. The competitive pool also has one 1 meter and one 3 meter diving board.
The swim center is vibrant with user groups from the University and surrounding community working together to provide a safe environment for healthy lifestyles through aquatics.
- The University of Idaho Swim Center has updated registration and payment programs for our American Red Cross swim lessons, American Red Cross certification courses and our swim passes. The Active.com program will help our online presence in the community and enhance the process of registration.
- The new registration website requires that you make an Active.com account before being able to see or register for any Swim Center lessons, courses or passes.
The Swim Center has made a swim lesson program change to American Red Cross swim lessons. The levels are similar to what was being taught, but have more of an emphasis on safety in and around the water. Switching to American Red Cross lessons also provides another opportunity for advertising our facility through Red Cross websites as well as in our community.
Registrations for swim passes will open August 17.
Registrations for Fall swim lessons sessions 1 and 2 will open August 21.
- Swim Center will be closed from July 25 through August 23 for annual maintenance. Re-opening will be Monday August 24.
- Due to construction on the Education Building parking at the swim center is limited. For more information please visit the Parking web site.
