Disability Support Services
Disability Support Services (DSS) aims to provide services and support to ensure that all University of Idaho students can access and participate in the opportunities available at the university. Students are expected and encouraged to utilize the resources of DSS to the degree they determine necessary. Services include, but are not limited to:

Service Animals
According to the ADA, a service animal is defined as "any animal individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including, but not limited to, guiding individuals with impaired vision, alerting individuals to an impending seizure or protecting individuals during one, and alerting individuals who are hearing impaired to intruders, or pulling a wheelchair and fetching dropped items." Students desiring the use of a service animal in campus housing should contact University Housing and Disability Support Services. Vandal Access Shuttle
Parking and Transportation Services and the University of Idaho offers the Vandal Access Shuttle service for free, on-campus transportation for students with disabilities. The shuttle operates on a fixed-route schedule, Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with the exception of university holidays and academic breaks. The shuttle seats 10-12 people, and features double wheelchair capacity. Individuals with disabilities will have seating priority on the shuttle.
