FAQ's: Attending IRT

Location The Hartung Theatre is located on the UI campus, just south of 6th Street and Stadium Drive intersection. It is footsteps from the Wallace housing complex, and a block north of the Kibbie Dome. Abundant free parking available directly across from the three. A curb-side drop zone is available as well as convenient wheelchair access.

Curtain Time All performances begin on time. Evenings performances are 7:30 PM; matinee at 2 PM.

Arriving Late Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the house manager during a suitable break, and will not be seated in their ticketed seat until intermission.

Children For indoor performances, we welcome children who are hold enough to enjoy our performances. Please no babes-in-arms or children under 6 years of age. Children of all ages are welcome to the outdoor Shakespeare.

Food No food or drink are permitted in the theatre, except for bottled water.

Photography Flash photography, sound and video recordings are prohibited during the performance.

Cell Phones and Beepers Please turn off your cellular phones and pagers and them off or leave them with the house manager before the performance.

Smoking Areas The University of Idaho codes prohibit smoking in areas of public assembly. If you wish to smoke, please do so in protected areas outdoors away from the entrance.

Alcohol The University of Idaho enforces the City of Moscow ordinance prohibiting the use of alcohol in public spaces.

Location

The Hartung Theatre is located at the intersection of 6th Street and Stadium Drive on the University of Idaho campus. Abundant free parking is available directly across the street from the Hartung Theatre. A curb-side drop zone is available and wheelchair ramp access. The main entrance is located at the top of three tiers of stairs. There is also a ramp entrance located about 50 feet from the stairs.

Directions
If you're entering Moscow from the west, turn right where Perimeter Drive intersects Pullman Road (across from the Mall), and go about 1/4 mile on Perimeter Drive, turn right on 6th Street, and drive about 4 blocks to the intersection of 6th Street and Stadium Drive.

If you're coming into Moscow south or north on Highway #95, turn west at 6th Street and drive about a mile to the intersection of 6th Street and Stadium Drive. Hint: We're located about 500 yards from the UI Kibbie Dome.

Accessibility

We are committed to making performances accessible to the widest possible audiences. The Hartung Theatre is equipped to accommodate physically challenged patrons.

Hearing Devices
The Hartung Theatre is equipped with an infra-red listening system. Headsets are free of charge and may be checked out a no charge fromt the Will Call desk. Please reserve the devices when ordering tickets at the UI Ticket Office.

Wheelchair Seating
The Hartung Theatre is equipped with wheelchair seating locations. Since wheelchair space is limited, please reserve tickets as far in advance as possible, and advise us if special assistance is required. There is a paved ramp up to the theatre entrance, about 25 feet south of the main stairway entrance.

Stairs
There is a three-tiered stairway up to the theatre. However, there is also a paved ramp just a few feet south of the stair entrance along the sidewalk.
