Exiting Voicemail
You must do this every time you exit, even if you do not have messages.
Each time you check your voice mail or retrieve your messages, exit your Voice Mail as follows:
Press the “ * “ key until the system responds with “thank you”, then hang up.
This resets your Voice Mailbox as you exit. Using this procedure will ensure optimal performance of your Voice Mail.
Changing Your Password
Personal Greeting
needs to advise callers to dial zero to reach the Personal Attendant.
Recorded Name
Suggestions for Recorded Name are personal name and/or title, or the name of your department.
Attendant Transfer – Also known as Personal Receptionist
This feature allows callers to dial “0” to be automatically transferred to another telephone number, such as a receptionist or a co-worker. This feature allows callers a second chance to reach another individual without the inconvenience of hanging up and re-dialing. Setting up this feature is optional but recommended. There is not a charge associated with this service.
Alternate Greeting
The Alternate Greeting allows you to leave special information for your callers. For example, "You've reached the office of Joe Brown. I will be out of the office until January 12. If you need assistance during my absence, please contact Jill summers at 555-6122." When you return to the office, you can easily reactivate your regular greeting by using the following steps:
On-campus
- dial 5-0086 to access your Voice Mail from any on campus location
- enter your password
Off-campus, locally
- dial 885-0086
- enter your 10-digit phone number when prompted, then press #
- enter your password
Long Distance, outside of local calling area
- dial 208-885-0086
- enter your 10-digit phone number when prompted, then press #
- enter your password

- At the Main Menu, press 4 to select PERSONAL OPTIONS
- PERSONAL PROFILE, press 1
- Passcode Options, press 1
- To change your Passcode, press 1
- Enter a number with 4 to 8 digits, then press #
- Press 1 to confirm your new Passcode
Personal Greeting
- Dial 5-0086 to access Voice Mail
- At the Main Menu, press 4 to select PERSONAL OPTIONS
- Press 2 for GREETINGS
- Press 3 to Record/Change your Personal Greeting
- The service will play the default message.
- Press 2 to record your Personal Greeting. Begin recording after the tone.
- The system will replay your new Personal Greeting.
- Press 1 to Accept
- Press 2 to record a new Personal Greeting
- Press 3 to Erase

- Press 2 to select/change your Personal Receptionist telephone number
- Press 1 to keep
- Press 2 to change
- Enter your new 10-digit Personal Receptionist telephone number
- Press # to keep it and return to the Personal Receptionist Menu
- Press 3 to delete
- Press 1 to confirm deletion
- Press 2 to keep it and return to the Telephone Number
Alternate Greeting

- Press 1 to keep this Alternate Greeting. Press 2 to re-record. Review. Press 1 to accept.
- Press 3 to erase.
- Press 5 to toggle your ALTERNATE Greeting on/off.
If OFF, press 1 to toggle ON, if ON press 1 to toggle off.
Automatic Greeting
This is the system default message that is in place prior to the recording of a Personal Greeting. The message says, “You have reached your telephone number], please leave a message at the tone."
