*69 – Automatic Call Return
Allows you to return a call from the last person that called you without having to know the number. Lift the handset and dial *69. An announcement will be heard stating the last number that called your line, if available. If the
number is identified, you may dial it back by pressing “1”.
Call Appearances
The column on the right-hand side of the phone that indicates whether or not a line is currently in use. If a line is in use the yellow light will be solid. If a line is on hold, the yellow light will blink. Telephone Services programs the telephone numbers that are associated with the lights. You are responsible for programming the memory locations
to match the lights. See Memory Locations below. If you have new telephone numbers installed you will need to fill out the ISDN Call Appearances form on our web site under Order Service.
Clock – Program
PROGRAM + Clock (same as Transfer button)
Press * to change month/day/year/hour minutes or Press # to Save that selection and advance to the next option. When finished, press # again to save and confirm changes.
Conference
No Charge Conference Bridge – You can place a 3-party or 6 party conference bridge from any phone on campus. There is no charge for bridging capabilities but are you responsible for all long distance charges.
3-Party Conference Call
Includes host & 2 other parties
- Lift handset
- Key in the number of the first party
- Wait for answer and announce that you are setting up a conference call
- Press Conference (this will give you dial tone again)
- Key in the number of the 2nd party
- Wait for answer and announce that you are setting up a conference call
- Press Conference (this will join all three parties together
Six Party Conference Call - Includes host & Five other parties
- Lift handset
- Key in 681 (key this in once at the beginning of the call)
- Dial the number of the first party
- Wait for answer and announce that you are setting up a conference call
- Press Conference (this will give you dial tone again)
- Key in the number of the 2nd party
- Wait for answer and announce that you are setting up a conference call
- Press Conference
- Key in the number of the next party
- Wait for answer and announce that you are setting up a conference call
- Repeat the last two steps until all parties are on the line.
Hold
Press this button and your current call will be placed on Hold.
The yellow indicator light will blink.
Forwarding
Programming a number into memory
- *58
- Dial # to forward calls to (5 digits on-campus)
- Wait for confirmation tone
- Hang up
- Your calls will not be forwarded until you activate the feature. See below.
Activating
Press the “h’ button, light will appear. All calls will be forwarded to the number that you have programmed into memory. To deactivate, press the “h” button again, light will go out.
Memory Locations
Programming Speed Dials
PROGRAM:
- Key in telephone number (5 digits on-campus)
- Press SHIFT
- Then press the button on the right-hand side where you want the number stored.
- You will get a confirmation tone.
To Check existing Memory Locations.
Press DISPLAY, then SHIFT, then the button you want to inquire. The telephone number that is currently programmed in that location will appear in the display.
Pick Groups
You can pick up a ringing call from anyone in your pick up group by pressing the “h” button.
Ring Volume
Press the up and down arrows on either side of Volume to adjust volume.
Speaker
Press SPEAKER, Conversation can now be completely hands-free. To switch back to the handset, hit the SPEAKER button again, or depress and release the hookswitch.
Transfer
- Press the Transfer button,
- then dial 5-XXXX (on-campus #) or 9+XXX-XXXX (local #)
- Announce the call,
- Press the Transfer button again.
- Both parties are connected
Using Memory Locations
- Press TRANSFER, then SHIFT, then select the Memory Location that you want to transfer to,
- Announce the call,
- Press the Transfer button again.
- Both parties are connected.
NOTE: The transfer to # must ring at least once before you hit the TRANSFER button again. If the line is busy, no answer or an incorrect #, press DROP to, return to your initial calling party.
Volume - Press the up and down arrows to adjust Volume 3 ways:
- Ringer – when NOT on an active call
- Receiver – when Handset is lifted
- Speaker – when Speaker is activated
