Attention University Departments:
“As of January 1, 2008, the Campus Surplus program will no longer pick up surplus department owned equipment/materials. Because of reduced staffing, an increasing amount of surplus items from across campus, and an increase in processing time & regulations concerning a variety of materials, the Surplus program can no longer afford to provide this service. Instead, we will be scheduling City North American to handle all surplus pickups across campus, at department expense. Many departments with pressing schedules have already been doing this to speed up their own removal of department owned goods. This policy was implemented for larger items and quantities of materials several years ago; it will now be expanded to include all department owned items.
Department owners may still bring down surplus items on their own, if they so desire. The old Surplus Pickup Form is now obsolete as well… please download a new Surplus Property Transfer form at our website http://www.webs.uidaho.edu/surplus/ for use in listing and transferring department owned property over to Campus Surplus. A budget number is required for refunds and charges concerning all surplus materials. Campus Surplus will not accept any deliveries on Mondays, Major Sale Days, Holidays, or any days that the university is officially closed for business.
