Scholarships

There are two scholarships offered to students enrolled at the University of Idaho who are single parents or the child of a single parent. Please contact the Financial Aid Office to discuss the application process or eligibility, finaid@uidaho.edu or 208-885-6312.

SHIRLEY GROSSMAN CALDWELL SCHOLARSHIP
The Shirley Grossman Caldwell Scholarship is available for undergraduate or graduate single parents, demonstrating academic potential and financial need, who are the primary caretakers of their children.

AGNES EIKUM CHASE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
The Agnes Eikum Chase Memorial is earmarked for a fulltime undergraduate single parent, or child of a single parent, with demonstrated academic merit. Last year there were a total of five awards given, each with the approximate value of $1,000 per academic year.

BETSY THOMAS GENDER EQUITY SCHOLARSHIP
The Women's Center offers a scholarship funded through the proceeds of the annual WomensWorks Art Fair. It is awarded to students advancing gender equity. For more information about this scholarship, please contact the Women's Center Staff.
