F-Word Live Poetry Slam

Poetry Slam

Coming in October 2013!
508 S. Main Street, downtown Moscow

This spectacular performance poetry event celebrating the "other F-word" -- FEMINISM -- will feature a number of local spoken word artists, activists, and performers showcasing a wide variety of original poetry.

Thanks to generous donations from supportive and committed patrons of the arts, we are able to offer this event completely free to all students with valid student ID!

Whether you're an aspiring or seasoned poet, if you'd like to receive a "Save the Date" for the Fall 2013 "F-Word Live" event, please contact Lysa Salsbury, Coordinator for Women's Center Programs, at lsalsbur@uidaho.edu.

About Spoken Word
Spoken word is a form of performance poetry that often uses alliterated prose or verse and occasionally, metered verse, to express social commentary. Traditionally, it is in the first person, is from the poet’s point of view, and is themed in current events.
