I was born and raised in Post Falls, ID with my mom (who is my best friend) and three incredible brothers. I graduated from UI in 2007 with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Radio/TV/Digital Media Production and Spanish. During college, I loved my classes and keeping myself very busy with student leadership roles and various jobs on campus, including ASUI, Vandal Entertainment, and Sound Production and Lighting. I’m currently working on a Master’s of Education in Adult/Organizational Learning and Leadership at UI. With this degree, I hope to find a career that bridges my passions for working with students and event planning. I enjoy learning how adults learn and how to create holistic organizations that foster positive learning environments.
As a strong feminist, I am passionate about gender and women’s issues and the challenges we face within society and higher education. I am personally a strong advocate for educating others about awareness of gender equity issues and the ever-lasting need for social justice in order to build an inclusive and compassionate society. I’m excited to be a part of the Women’s Center team and help give back to my Alma Mater.
During my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my partner and our dog, Roarke. I love a great glass of wine, watching TV, camping, board game nights and being an Aunt. Additionally, I love incorporating my creativity into my life any chance I get which includes making and decorating cakes, photography, and many other artsy hobbies. My other passion is traveling. During my undergrad at UI, I studied abroad in Alicante, Spain for a year and, as a belated graduation gift, backpacked though five countries in South America over the course of nine weeks. Currently, I’m working on exploring the amazing places near home and in the States but can’t wait to go back to Europe and visit other countries where I cannot speak the language.
