Nutrition Counseling
If you desire personal, individual counseling, it is available at Student Health Services. Appointments can be made with the campus dietitian for weight management and health issues including: how to establish a basic healthy diet, vegetarian diets, diabetes control, high blood pressure, eating disorders, high cholesterol, sports nutrition, and more. Lifestyle changes are encouraged in the form of healthy nutrition and exercise. This approach is found to increase a person’s ability to reach and maintain a healthy weight for life rather than the usual dieting approach that creates only a temporary weight loss (usually followed by weight gain!). A great tool in the quest for better nutrition is keeping a daily food log that records everything you eat during the entire day.
