New Student Orientation Leaders at the University of Idaho

Orientation Schedules

New Student Orientation:

Fraternity/Sorority Parent Orientation: 

  • Sorority Parent Orientation will be held on August 15.
  • Fraternity Parent Orientation will be held on August 21.
  • If your student has signed up for sorority or fraternity recruitment, both the student and parent(s) are registered for orientation through this process, and there is no need to register/pay for orientation a second time using the New Student Orientation website's online sign-up form.

Non-Traditional Student Orientation (August 22 and 24, 2013) ▼

(For students who are 24 or older, have dependents, are parents, have veteran’s status, and/or are married)

9 a.m. - 6 p.m.

New Student Orientation Check In:

Residence Hall Students:
Check in at assigned residence hall.

Steel House, On-Campus Apartment and Off-Campus students:
Check in at the Living Learning Communities Information Desk Area.

Location is determined by living group

2-4 p.m. Non-Traditional Student Orientation
This session is designed for students who are 24 or older, have dependents, are parents, have veteran’s status, and/or are married. We will discuss resources and strategies for being a successful student. Light refreshments will be served.

4-5 p.m. Veteran Student Orientation
Meet with Dan Button, the Veterans Advisor, and learn about how veterans’ services and support on campus and in the surrounding community.

Parents break-out into small groups for useful workshops on a variety of issues including Financial Aid, Letting Go…Adapting to Change, Academic Support Services, Residential Living, and Parent Resources, to name a few.
