Student Orientation

Please check back at the beginning of May for the Fall 2012 New Student Orientation detailed schedule.

New Student Orientation will take place from August 16 - 19, 2012 with Parent Orientation events on August 16th through 17th. We will also be holding Parent Orientation events for the parents of students who participate in sorority recruitment on August 9th and for the parents of students who participate in fraternity recruitment on August 15th.

All students are expected to attend and will receive a UI planner at this event.

Student Orientation Sessions:
Students break-out into useful workshops on a variety of topics including Health and Wellness, Success at the University of Idaho, Technology on Campus, and Getting Involved.

Vandal Edge Orientation for Theophilus Tower Students:
This required session for Tower residents will provide info about the components of the Vandal Edge program. Come meet the Tower staff and learn how they will help you have a successful year.

Games, food, and fun! Meet other students, explore the Rec Center, and choose from dozens of activities and games to play.

Attend your very first service project and participate in tree planting, watershed restoration, elementary school repairs, food drive efforts, trail maintenance, and much more! This is an excellent way to get to know other new students and your new city.
Meet on the Theophilus Tower Lawn
12:30-2 p.m. Diversity, Equity and Community Barbeque:
Stop by and get acquainted with the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA), Native American Student Center (NASC), College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP), LGBTQA Office, Women’s Center, multicultural student leaders, UI staff and faculty. The BBQ is free and open to all.
