Organizacion de Estudiantes Latino Americanos
Organización de Estudiantes Latino Americanos (OELA) is dedicated to increasing the enrollment and retention of Mexican/Mexican-American/Chicano/Latino students at institutions of higher education as part of a vision to increase the representation of Latinos in industry and education.
OELA hopes to inform others of the challenges Mexican/Mexican-American/Chicano/Latino students face on campus today and to share successful strategies to increase retention and graduation rates for such students.
In addition, OELA wants to share a culture that is built on a rich tradition of respect and understanding as it helps pave the road for academic excellence for its members and participants of its programs.
Among the many activities OELA is involved with during the academic year, its most recognized and award winning event is the Vandal Challenge Leadership Conference. (click link for more info)
