Vandal Challenge Leadership Conference
Organizacion de Estudiantes Latino Americanos (O.E.L.A.) is a student organization at the University of Idaho dedicated to the recruitment and retention of Latino/a students. Our primary focus is to help guide members to become successful in college and ensure that they continue on to graduate from U of I. One of O.E.L.A’s signature event is the Vandal Challenge Leadership Conference. This four day conference is designed to help Latino high school students pursue higher education. Some of the activities that will be included on this year’s itinerary are:
• Financing your Education
• U of I Admissions
• Professor Access Forum
• Time Management
• Attend a College Class
• CAMP Presentation
• Breakfast with the University President
• Stay in Residence Halls
• Campus Tour
• Multicultural Student Organizations Presentations
• And much more!
We hope that after participating in the Vandal Challenge Leadership Conference students will attend the University of Idaho the following year. It is our goal to increase the population of Latino/a students here at the University of Idaho.
