Safe Zone
The mission of the Safe Zone Program is to create a safe and welcoming environment at UI for LGBTQ students, faculty, and staff by developing and maintaining a network of informed faculty, staff, and student who are willing to be visibly supportive of people on campus who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, or Transgender.
Allies pledge to foster a campus climate in which everyone, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity will feel safe, supported, respected and affirmed. Safe Zone trainings are offered through the Office of Human Rights Access and Inclusion. For more information call 885-4285 or email safezone@uidaho.edu.
