Brotherhood Activities:
  • Big Brother Program - Every new member is partnered with a Big Brother to help them transition into Theta Chi and college. Big Brothers hang out with their Little Brothers, helping them with new member and academic studies, and encouraging their Little Brothers to be involved on campus.
  • Brotherhood Dinner - Every month the leaders in the chapter make dinner for the brothers on a night otherwise without a meal. Following dinner there is a brotherhood building activity.
  • Retreats - Throughout the year we get out of Moscow as a brotherhood. Outings include camping trips and chapter goal setting retreats. It’s a great time to get to know your brothers on a deeper level outside the university setting.
  • Red Week - The week leading up to our spring cruise is called "Red Week." Our chapter holds various themed events each night including: Philanthropy Night, Social Night, Brotherhood Night. It is a great way for our members to bond and have a great week leading up to our spring cruise. It’s All About the Brothers!

Philanthropic/Community Service Projects:
  • Kids Christmas Party - Every December our chapter partners with a sorority in hosting a Christmas party for local elementary students.
  • Moscow Mentors - Many of our members commit to giving time every week at a local grade school to mentor a child there.
  • Make a Difference Day - Every year we team up with the Civic Engagement Board’s Make A Difference Day and serve a local charitable organization such as the Palouse Clearwater Environmental Institute.
  • Greek Food Drives - Twice a year we team up with other Greeks to compete in a canned food drive.
  • Box Lunch Social - Once a year our chapter and another fraternity make meals to be auctioned off to members of sororities. The individuals who prepared the meal then have a picnic with the sorority member who purchased their meal. All the proceeds from the auction go to Alternatives to Violence on the Palouse. Valentine’s Day Cards- In February our chapter gets together with a sorority to make Valentine Cards for local senior citizens.
Social/Campus Activities:
  • Dream Girl Cruise - Each spring we have a formal cruise on Lake Coeur d’Alene. We rent a cruise boat and hold our formal dance. Usually members choose to spend the night in Coeur d ’Alene and spend a night out on the town. It is a date function where we honor the newly selected Dream Girl of Theta Chi.
  • Rollerdisco - In this annual date function, we dress up in our best disco attire. The event starts with a showing of a 70’s movie at the downtown theater. From here we disco on rollerskates at the Lewiston skating rink.
  • Pledge Dance - At the beginning of the school year our newest members plan a pledge dance at an out of house venue. Past themes have been ‘A Night at the Movies’, ‘Pirate Dance; Chi Marks the Spot’, ‘Pledge Luau; Life’s a Beach’
  • Red Eye Movie Marathon - Our Chapter hosts an annual movie marathon function where we watch three movies consecutively with a date.
Awards and Honors (campus and national):
  • National awards - Theta Chi headquarters has honored our chapter with six Alter Awards, over the last eight years. The Alter Award is the highest honor and is given out yearly by our International Headquarters to chapters who define the meaning of what it is to be a Theta Chi. It is only given to a handful of chapters a year that show excellence in recruitment, scholarship, philanthropy, campus and community involvement, and alumni relations.
  • Grade Point Average: Theta Chi ranked first among Fraternities for Spring 2012 with a 3.21 GPA, and second among Fraternities for Fall 2011 with a 3.15.
