Academics are very important to the Greek community at the University of Idaho. Every chapter has an academic expectation and an academic plan to help their members with their academic goals. Some chapters make use of study hours, study tables, study groups and incentives to assist their members.
Many of our chapters also award scholarships annually to recognize those that have maintained high grades and have shown leadership in the chapter. In spring 2014 the fraternity and sorority community awarded more than $125,000 in scholarships in recognition of leadership and academics.
Each semester the office of Fraternity and Sorority Life compiles the grade information for each chapter in order to track the progress of the organizations. These reports are made available to anyone who is interested, and are often used for measuring the achievements and successes on a regional and national level.
Fraternities and sororities have consistently achieved higher grades than their peers at UI. View grade reports from years past.
