Be a Mentor to Chapter Leadership
Being a chapter advisor or house corporation officer can be one of the most rewarding gifts you can give back to your chapter. Each chapter officer needs mentors and our alumni often serve in this role. Whether its helping the chapter treasurer with a budget, helping the recruitment/rush chair with recommendations and planning, or being a mentor to new members, this role is priceless. All our chapters need positive mentors so get involved with your chapter in this important role.
Contribute to a Chapter Scholarship Fund
In 2013 our chapters gave over $120,000 in scholarships to our members. Many of these scholarships have so much potential to grow and help more chapter members obtain educational goals. You can contribute to your chapters scholarship fund, create a new scholarship for your chapter, or contribute to our Interfraternity Council or Panhellenic Scholarship. You can do this by
contacting the foundation. Below are the chapters that currently have scholarships offered through the University of Idaho.
Attend an Alumni Event with your Chapter
Many of our chapter offer founders day dinners, reunions, homecoming events, and other chapter celebrations. Take the time to reconnect with both the University of Idaho and your chapter. You won't regret the time you spend with other alumni sharing memories of the University and your time in the chapter.
Encourage your children to Go Greek
Whether your kids are going to the University of Idaho or another institution support Greek Life through continuing the legacy. Even if another school doesn't have your chapter encourage your children, your friends children, and other young adults entering college to check out Greek Life wherever they go! If you don't have children of your own but you work at a high school, coach high school students, or interact with those going to college in the future, plant the seed about all the great things that Greek Life has to offer.
Contribute to the University Leadership Fund
Leadership development is one of the keystones of Greek Life. Many of us still use the leadership skills we learned in Greek Life even today! This endowment helps fund leadership programs around campus and helps support the programs that work directly with Greek leaders. You can contribute to this fund by contacting the
Dean of Students Office.
