Donald R. Theophilus was a member of the University of Idaho faculty for nearly 40 years and was President from 1954-1965. A commemorative silver bowl is presented to graduating senior(s) who have outstanding records of academic achievement and service to the university community.
The intent of this award is to acknowledge students who have demonstrated some kind of unique service.
The selection committee selects candidates from the Top 10 Outstanding Senior Awards winners and nominations. The Theophilus Award committee will then choose the winner(s) from this candidate pool.
The winner(s) will be selected based on:
- Academic success
- Campus activities
- Service to the university and the community
