It's okay, we know adjusting to a new place is tough. Maybe this whole college thing was a lot different than you expected. Here are a couple things to try.
- Get out of your room: go to a Vandal Entertainment event, scope your living group for others who have an xbox, study in the Commons or downtown Moscow.
- Limit Facebook or Skype, or phone calls with folks from home. It might sound weird but if all you do is spend time with people somewhere else it's likely you'll continue to feel homesick.
- As you make an effort to get out and talk with others allow yourself a couple bad days, then focus on challenging yourself to build connections with others.
- If you can't kick the feeling, you can set up a meet to chat with folks from our Counseling and Testing Center.
