This branch includes the ASUI President and Vice President. Together, these positions are charged with the responsibility of administering the many departments of the ASUI and representing students before the UI Administration, the Board of Regents, and the State of Idaho.
Hannah Davis, President

As the official spokesperson of the ASUI, the president is responsible for all administrative and executive functions of the ASUI as established by the constitution, rules and regulations, and bylaws of the student government. She reports to the Senate on her activities weekly and has veto power over any legislation the Senate passes. She meets regularly with the State Board of Education, State Legislature, Vandal Boosters, Alumni Association, and UI Foundation.

The Vice President is the President and Chairperson of the Senate and is responsible for carrying out all duties assigned by the ASUI President and Senate. The Vice President ensures/enhances proper and effective representation of on and off campus students. He is also responsible for maintaining and enforcing the constitution, rules and regulations and the bylaws and may reprimand members of the ASUI when necessary.

Hi, my name is Chris Schrette and I am a senior Political Science major, who is planning on attending Law School next Fall. I spent last Summer in Washington, DC learning and researching national policies as an Intern for a US Senator. As the Director of Policy for ASUI my job is to research and understand the University policies that are important to students, and advise the policy makers on what actions would be in the best interest of students.

Hi, my name is Liz Brandon and I am a junior microbiology major with minors in chemistry and psychology. Hello, I’m Brian Dosch and I am a 3L Law Student at the College of Law. I will graduate with a Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution emphasis in addition to my Juris Doctor degree. I plan on taking the Washington Bar and practicing as a Criminal Defense Attorney. I am also a big music fan as I play the piano, violin, and guitar. As for my position, The ASUI Attorney General advises the ASUI regarding whether any current or proposed rule violates the ASUI Constitution or its by-laws. He/She also may assist in mediating disputes between the ASUI and the University of Idaho that concern administrative issues. The Attorney General also represents all students accused of violating a University rule and zealous advocates on their behalf in order to protect their rights.
