Looking for a way to represent your fellow students and create positive change at our university? Consider running for an ASUI Senate seat.
Senators write and pass legislation that allocates ASUI funds, states the official position of the Associated Students of the University of Idaho on important issues, and alters the structure and administration of the student government. Senators commit to 5 office hours per week, give weekly living group reports, and attend a weekly senate meeting.
ASUI Senators are elected in the fall and spring and serve for two semesters. The student body elects 7 senators in the fall and in 8 senators in the spring. Applications to run for ASUI Senate are available here and are due by Wednesday, October 30th at 5:00 pm. Campaigning will occur between November 4-20, and voting will take place on November 18th, 19th, and 20th.
