About the UI Cycling Club
The UI Cycling Club is a coed organization welcoming all undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, and staff members who are interested in promoting the sport of cycling. Our group includes individuals ranging from new riders getting into the sport to seasoned racers.
Join Us:
Most of our riders had never raced before joining the Club, so don’t be intimidated. Riders are divided into groups to accommodate riders of all skill levels. No prior experience is required!
What We Do:
As a club we incorporate the three major disciplines of cycling including road, mountain, and cyclocross. Cyclocross and mountain are primarily fall semester sports, whereas our road season takes place during the spring semester. Students compete in collegiate competitions around the Northwest against nearly 20 other educational institutions. Those individuals who qualify at the conference level are then eligible to compete in Collegiate Nationals. The Club is sanctioned by USA Cycling and is a member of the Northwest Collegiate Cycling Conference.
We have group rides throughout the year and we train indoors during inclement weather. If you want to get fit and meet some fellow cyclists, come out to one of our rides.
Ride information and updates are posted on our
Facebook page.
