Meeting Minutes
Hey Everyone,
This is the last e-mail you're going to receive from me for Gamma Sigma Alpha.
I'd like to thank all of you who actively participated in the society this year and appreciate your support.
Your new executive officers are Nicolle Marselle of Kappa Delta as executive director, and David Church of Delta Chi as social chairman.
Nicolle's e-mail: mars2398@uidaho.edu
Dave's e-mail: chur9420@uidaho.edu
If you have not already done so, make sure to complete and turn in your Moscow Mentor applications ASAP and if you're graduating make sure Nicolle receives your nominations for new members.
There is a highway cleanup tentatively scheduled for this coming Sunday. The new officers will give you more information on that soon.
Thank you and congratulations and good luck to the new officers.

Hello Everyone,
Thank you to those who made it to the meeting on Friday. This e-mail will be a reminder for what we discussed, and an update for those who could not attend.
Moscow Mentors - Applications are due before the end of the semester and myself and Cori will write recommendations for you if you ask.
Nominations for New Members - I have nominations from Katie York and Kellie Bowen. Anyone else who is graduating needs to let me know ASAP who they want to take their spot. Nominees must have a 3.5 cum GPA and junior or senior standing next year.
Highway Cleanup - We will be participating in a highway cleanup in coordination with IFC & PHC in late April. This will be the first project for the next executive director.
Executive Board Nominations - There are two nominations as of now. Nicolle Marselle of Kappa Delta for executive director & David Church of Delta Chi for social chair. Elections will be held at the next meeting.
I also still have a lot of your certificates and pins. Make sure to come to the next meeting so you can pick them up.
Our next meeting will be held in early April. Please e-mail ideas for places to meet.
That's all for now,
Craig Weaver

Hey Guys,
Here's what going on with Gamma Sigma Alpha.
The donation has been made to help build the playground for the elementary school on campus. They still need to raise a lot of money, so if you know of anyone who might be willing to donate let them know about the cause. Karen Humes is the person they need to contact. She can be reached at (208) 885-6506 or by e-mail khumes@uidaho.edu.
Alida Bockino from the Moscow Mentors program got back to me with some information. As of now, they are recruiting mentors to participate in the program next fall. This means that graduating seniors are not eligible, but everyone else should work on getting their application filled out. The application requires three letters of recommendation. I'll be happy to write one for you, and I'm sure Cori will write one as well.
If you have any questions, Alida can be reached at bockinoa@sd281.k12.id.us, and there is additional contact info on their website.

Our next meeting should be around the middle of February and it has been suggested that we meet at the Camas Winery. Yes, minors are allowed.
Thanks, that's all for now.

Hello Everyone,
I'd like to thank all of those who came to the meeting tonight and all of those who let me know they could not attend. I hope you all have an excellent break.
At the meeting tonight we discussed what charity we would like to donate money to this semester, as well as what philanthropy we would like to participate in next semester, and also approved Washington Mutual as the bank to hold our account with.
We decided that we would like to donate money to help build a playground for local elementary students and Jenny Sue Anchondo of Kappa Kappa Gamma offered to write a press release about the donation.
Additionally, Jess Giuffre of Beta Theta Pi had the idea that our society could participate in the Moscow Mentor program next semester as our philanthropy contribution to the community. We believe that this program will be more beneficial to the community than a typical one day philanthropy project.
If anyone is graduating in December please e-mail me with recommendations for new members.
I will send you more information about these programs later in the semester.
Thanks and please drive home safely,
