Activities
The UI ASCE Student Chapter generally has weekly meetings to discuss chapter activities. Each meeting usually features a speaker from the Pacific Northwest Region. Guest speakers discuss professional issues (e.g., ethics, ASCE membership) and current engineering projects; in addition, most recruit students for summer internships or full-time employment. Our members also participate in many activities including the National Student Steel Bridge Competition, National Concrete Canoe Competition, surveying, and technical paper competitions. Select an event from the list above to learn more.
