Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc.

Mission Statement

The purpose of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc shall be to establish a sisterhood based on Unity, Love and Respect. Established as the First Latina Sorority in 1975, Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. has paved the way and set the foundation for culture, tradition and sisterhood. Founded as an academic organization that caters towards the needs of all women, Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority emphasizes scholarly excellence, empowerment of the Universal Woman and promoting Latina unity through charitable and educational programs. Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority has developed a high level of dedication to participating and engaging in many community service, social, political and cultural awareness programs.

Scholarship

The Ladies of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. Delta Eta Chapter are excited to share our scholarship opportunity with high school students seeking a post-secondary education in an accredited Idaho university. This year, scholarship applications will be accepted by mail or via our online application. The deadline for application submissions is May 27, 2022.

Letters of recommendation will be accepted via email, mail, uploaded on the online scholarship form or submitted on online letter of recommendation form by your references if they prefer. Sealed official transcripts are still required and can be mailed or delivered electronically via tsorder.studentclearinghouse.org.

Please make sure all documents are in one email with the subject: [LTA L.A.D.Y. Scholarship (Your Name)] if you are emailing documents. For further questions please email lta.dh.president@gmail.com.

Basic Eligibility

  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Female
  • Idaho High School Senior
  • First-generation college student
