2014 Staff Awards Reception

Friday, April 11, 2014
1:00-3:00pm, SUB Ballroom

Awards are given to staff that have shown exemplary dedication and have gone above and beyond their normal job duties at the University of Idaho. Staff who qualify for the award are nominated by their peers and reviewed through an award process conducted by the Staff Affairs Staff Awards subcommittee. Additionally, those staff retiring from the university will also be recognized along with the longevity awards for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 years of service to current employees.

Graduate Program Fair, Wednesday, March 5, 4:00-6:30 pm, Harbor Center

Current and prospective students and community members will have a chance to visit with representatives from local universities to learn about graduate programs offered in Coeur d'Alene and Spokane as well as online program opportunities. In addition, there will be a workshop that evening at 5:30 on “How to Apply to Graduate School.”

Meet the Vandals, Monday, March 10, 6:00-9:00 pm, CDA Resort

We’re excited to welcome this event to Coeur d'Alene for the first time! Students will have a chance to join other future Vandals, faculty, staff and alumni for a fun-filled opportunity to learn about student life at Idaho. All students admitted for the upcoming academic year, students interested in applying, and their families are welcome to attend.

Science on Tap, Tuesday, March 11, 5:30-6:30 pm, Fort Ground Grill

University of Idaho’s own Dr. Erik Coats will be speaking in March about the importance of our waste system and the opportunities there to produce commodities that are of significant value to society. Join us that night if you’re in the Coeur d'Alene area!

GIS Information Sessions, Thursday, March 13, 5:00-6:00 pm, Harbor Center

What is GIS – or Geographic Information Systems? How can a 15 credit certificate program in GIS help you find a job? Students and community members will get answers to these questions and more during a GIS Information Session at U-Idaho Coeur d'Alene.
