About the view....
The camera is postioned at the north end of our original four greenhouses built in the late 1970s. We have 4 bays.
To the extreme left is Bay 1. It holds about 56,000 seedlings, mostly SuperStock, including Lodgepole Pine, Blue Spruce, Western Redcedar, Engelmann Spruce, Douglas-fir, Purple Lilac, and Mugho Pine. We planted Bays 1 and 2 on March 1-2, and 5 (2001).
To the right of the aisle is Bay 2 which holds about 45,000 SuperStock seedlings. At the north end (closest to the camera) are Ponderosa pine. Other species include Austrian Pine, Scotch Pine, Douglas-fir, and some odds and ends.
Straight south of the camera is a wide, dark vertical strip that separates Bay 2 from Bay 3. Bays 3 and 4 were sown between March 6 and 9 (2001) with 111,500 Ponderosa Pine in the smaller containers more typical for reforestation plantings. Panning right across the aisle is Bay 4 with another 100,000 Ponderosa Pine.
