Farewell and Welcome from the Advisory Board

Contributing to the College of Science Success

The College of Science Advisory Board is an important element of the college’s continuing success. Formed in 2004, the board is composed of alumni and friends of the college who offer advice and support in a number of areas, including student recruitment and retention, job placement, curricular matters, and outreach to alumni.  The board has played a very important role in the successful launch of the Inspiring Futures campaign.

Thank you for Your Service

In December, six long-time members of the advisory board completed their terms: Gary Bennett, David Hawk, Brian Hill, Lawrence Knight, Skip Pierce, and Janet Schaumburg. “We are very grateful to Janet, Gary, David, Brian, Larry, and Skip for helping to shape the direction of our advisory board,” said Dean Paul Joyce. “The amount of time and energy they have expended in this responsibility is significant, and they deserve a lot of credit for improvements to the way we function as a college.”
