Department of Biological Sciences
The Department of Biological Sciences offers undergraduate (Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, and Molecular Biology) and graduate (Biology; Microbiology, Molecular Biology and Biochemistry (MMBB); Neuroscience) degrees. We also participate in the Bioinformatics and Computational Biology interdisciplinary graduate program. The department has faculty with research programs that have particular strengths in evolutionary biology, cellular and molecular biology, and biochemistry.
Our degrees offer an integrated view of the sub-disciplines within biology to prepare you for any profession in the field of life sciences.
The Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Program in Molecular and Organismal Evolution is a 10–week summer program sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF).
