The Institute for Bioinformatics and Evolutionary Studies (IBEST) and the University of Idaho will host the first annual Inland Northwest Genomics Research Symposium on the University of Idaho campus May 16th, 2013.

The symposium provides researchers and professionals from the Pacific Northwest and beyond the opportunity to attend presentations from local and nationally renowned scholars performing cutting edge research.

Leroy HoodThe symposium will feature a keynote address given by the distinguished Dr. Leroy Hood of the Institute for Systems Biology. Sessions will be held on technology and big data issues, current and near-future technologies and research being conducted by local researchers and in local cores.
