Research Council
Research Council is the standing University of Idaho faculty committee which oversees the implementation of discovery, creativity and research policies; and resolves disagreements about the interpretation or implementation of those policies. See FSH 5100 and 5200.
Research Council membership is comprised of a broad representation of appointed faculty and is chaired by the Vice President for Research and Economic Development. The Institutional Review Board is a standing subcommittee of the Research Council. Examples of matters reviewed by the Research Council are the Seed Grant Program and Federal Priorities. The Office of Research and Economic Development provides administrative support for the Research Council.
