Registration Deadlines and Procedures
Following is a summary of the registration changes for full-semester classes.
Deadlines for shorter classes are prorated; check
Add/Drop Deadlines for complete information.
ADD a class
- On VandalWeb through the 6th day of the semester, August 27
- With a Change of Registration form signed by instructor only, August 28-31
- After 10th day of semester, August 31, requires an academic petition
DROP a class
- On VandalWeb through 10th day of the semester, August 31
- No forms or signatures
- No grade on transcript
WITHDRAW from a class
- On VandalWeb September 1 through October 26; $5 fee assessed for each withdrawn class
- No forms or signatures
- After October 26 requires an academic petition
- Undergraduates are now allowed up to 21 credits of W; see more information about Class Withdrawals
UI and WSU Cooperative Classes
The process for registering for cooperative classes has changed. UI students taking classes at WSU will register at WSU. See UI-WSU Coop Registration for instructions and details.
2012 Degree Requirements
Some academic departments have made significant changes to their degree requirements effective with the 2012 General Catalog. Use your Degree Audit or speak with your academic advisor to see if your program has changed. See instructions how to change your curriculum catalog year if you decide to adjust your degree catalog.
