How to Apply

  • Undergraduate Students
    1.  After your advising appointment, login to VandalWeb and complete the Graduating Senior Survey.

    2.  Verify that your curriculum is correct using the Check Registration Status option under the Registration Menu.  If something is not correct, such as catalog year or a major or minor needs ot be added or dropped, you must file a Change of Curriculum form with the Office of the Registrar.  DO NOT apply for graduation until all of your curriculum details are accurate.  If you apply for an incorrect curriculum, your original application will be denied and you will have to apply again.

    3.  Once you verify your curriculum information is accurate, select the Apply to Graduate option under the Student Information/Registration Menu.  If you are receiving more than one degree (e.g. B.S. and B.A.), you will need to file a separate application for each degree.  Follow the instructions carefully and make your selections.

    4.  Your application will be sent electronically to your college dean's office for review.  After college approval, your application will be routed to the Office of the Registrar for final review.

    5.  After you apply for graduation, select the Ceremony Reservation and Hometown option under the Student Information/Registration Menu. to confirm your ceremony reservation as well as review or update your hometown.  You may revise your ceremony reservation as often as needed during the semester.

    6.  Graduation fees are billed to your account when the Office of the Registrar approves your application(s).  You must pay graduation fees to the Student Accounts/Cashier's Office.

    7.  You will receive email notifications to your VandalMail at each step of the process explaining your application status.  You may also review your application status by selecting the View Application to Graduate option under the Student Information/Registration Menu.
  • Graduate Students
    1.  You must have an approved study plan in Degree Audit before applying for graduation.

    2.  Login to VandalWeb and verify that your curriculum is correct using the Check Registration Status option under the Registration Menu.  If something is not correct, such as catalog year or thesis/non-thesis option, you must file a Change of Curriculum form with the Office of the Registrar.  DO NOT apply for graduation until all of your curriculum details are accurate.  If you apply for an incorrect curriculum, your original application will be denied and you will have to apply again.

    3.  Once you verify your curriculum information is accurate, select the Apply to Graduate option under the Student Information/Registration Menu.  If you are receiving more than one degree (e.g. M.Arch. and B.S.Arch.), you will need to file a separate application for each degree.  Follow the instructions carefully and make your selections.

    4.  Your application will be sent electronically to your major professor for review and approval and then to the College of Graduate Studies dean's office.  After college approval, your application will be routed to the Office of the Registrar for final review.

    5.  After you apply for graduation, select the Ceremony Reservation and Hometown option under the Student Information/Registration Menu. to confirm your ceremony reservation as well as review or update your hometown.  You may revise your ceremony reservation as often as needed during the semester.

  • Academic Certificates
    1.  Have you declared your certificate program?  If not, complete and submit the Change of Curriculum form with the Office of the Registrar.

    2.  Once the certificate has been declared, login to VandalWeb and select the Apply to Graduate option under the Student Information/Registration Menu.  If you are receiving more than one certificate or a degree and a certificate (e.g. B.S. and Certificate in Diversity/Statification), you will need to file a separate application for each degree.  Follow the instructions carefully and make your selections.

    3.  Your application will be sent electronically to your college dean's office for review.  After college approval, your application will be routed to the Office of the Registrar for final review.

    4.  Graduation fees are billed to your account when the Office of the Registrar approves your application(s).  Late fees do not apply to academic certifcate programs.  You must pay graduation fees to the Student Accounts/Cashier's Office.

    5.  You will receive email notifications to your VandalMail at each step of the process explaining your application status.  You may also view your application status by selecting the View Application to Graduate option under the Student Information/Registration Menu.
  • Law Students
    1.  Login to VandalWeb and verify that your curriculum is correct using the Check Registration Status option under the Registration Menu.  If something is not correct, such as catalog year or emphasis area, you must file a Change of Curriculum form with the Office of the Registrar.  DO NOT apply for graduation until all of your curriculum details are accurate.  If you apply for an incorrect curriculum, your original application will be denied and you will have to apply again.

    2.  Once you verify your curriculum information is accurate, select the Apply to Graduate option under the Student Information/Registration Menu.  If you are receiving more than one degree (e.g. J.D. and M.S.), you will need to file a separate application for each degree.  Follow the instructions carefully and make your selections.

    3.  Your application will be sent electronically to the College of Law dean's office for review.  After college approval, your application will be routed to the Office of the Registrar for final review.
