FERPA Tutorial
Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act
All university employees are required to comply with FERPA. As a member of the university community you are given access to private information about students. Maintaining confidentiality of education records is the responsibility of all faculty, staff, and student employees with access to student-related data. Violations of FERPA can result in the university losing its ability to award Federal Financial Aid.
Questions about FERPA should be directed to the Registrar's Office.
