Preliminary Proposals

Preliminary proposals will be developed by deans, department heads, faculty, staff, and students, with input from external constituents. The breadth of the proposals may range from larger scale institutional transformation to smaller scale, but equally important, improvements to non-academic programs or administrative structures. These preliminary proposals will be evaluated by an RFI Advisory Committee. Evaluation will be based on how well the proposal meets the criteria and the likelihood that its implementation will result in successfully transforming the institution.

This committee will make recommendations to the President and Provost on proposals for further development. In some cases, the advisory committee may find proposals that are similar in intent and recommend that two or more teams work together to develop a final proposal that builds on the synergies of the initial preliminary work.
