Mar. 28, 2012 Breakfast for Progress | Interdisciplinary: Definitions and Examples
Interdisciplinary: Definitions and Examples: was facilitated by Michael O’Rourke, Professor of Philosophy. Framed by the four goals of the strategic plan, two examples were used to reveal essential elements of interdisciplinary teaching and learning, scholarly and creative activity, outreach and engagement, and community and culture. Interdisciplinary collaboration is essential for faculty, staff, and students to identify solutions to complex problems; the support of University leadership will help us continue to build our capacity to address the complex challenges we face regionally, nationally, and globally.
