Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of each of us as members of the cabinet is to bring our perspectives to issues of importance to the university. Our prevailing objective is to bring together the best ideas for the good of the university.
Although our perspectives are shaped by many influences, including our individual responsibilities, the cabinet is not “representative” in the sense that we are expected to advocate from our positional responsibilities.
This focus on the value of perspective instead of representation enables us to think and speak about issues in an open environment.
Thus, the greatest good for the university is the only criterion on which we offer our intellectual contributions to the deliberations of the cabinet.
