Wurr Appointed to State Commission on Volunteerism

Adrian Wurr, assistant director for internships and service-learning, has been appointed to a four-year term to serve Idaho on the Governor’s Commission on Service and Volunteerism. Established by Governor Cecil Andrus in 2004, the commission advises and assists in the development and implementation of a comprehensive, statewide plan for promoting volunteer involvement and citizen participation in Idaho, as well as serving as the state’s liaison to national, state, and community organizations which support federal legislation related to public service and the Corporation for National and Community Service such as the Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act, signed into law by President Obama on April 21, 2009.
